Services and Terms

This chapter present the services offered by Marriage Denmark, the payment and delivery conditions and the cancellation policy associated with each service. 

General Terms

Prices are quoted in Euro (€) and inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. 

Payments must be made in full at the time of booking.

Basic 

Our Basic package consist of a personalised list of documents to collect for each applicant, advising on the application process and looking through the documents before the clients submit the application themselves to the relevant Danish Authority. 

We do not submit the application to the relevant Danish Authority, nor do we pay the required application fee to the relevant Danish Authority on behalf of our clients. 

The Basic package is non-refundable. 

If additional services such as Apostille and Legalisation services has been purchased, these are subject to a refund. Se terms under Apostille & Legalisation.

Standard

Our Standard package consist of a personalised list of documents to collect for each applicant, advising on the application process and looking through the documents before the clients submit the application themselves to the relevant Danish Authority. We submit the application to the relevant Danish Authority, and we pay the required application fee to the relevant Danish Authority on behalf of the client. 

The Standard package is non-refundable. 

If additional services such as Apostille and Legalisation services has been purchased, these are subject to a refund. Se terms under Apostille & Legalisation.

Premium

Our Premium package consist of a personalised list of documents to collect for each applicant, advising on the application process and looking through the documents before the clients submit the application themselves to the relevant Danish Authority. We submit the application to the relevant Danish Authority, and we pay the required application fee to the relevant Danish Authority on behalf of the client. We are available during the wedding day. One bottle of bubbles is included. 

The main part of the Premium package is non-refundable. The part of the service that is equivalent to the Standard service is non-refundable. The remaining part of the service can be refunded, depending on how much of the service the client has been using. 

The part of the Premium service than can be cancelled, shall be cancelled no later two weeks (14 days) prior to the preferred wedding date. 

Cancellation of the refundable part of the Premium service at a later date than two weeks (14 days) is only possible if the relevant Danish Authority has rejected the application, and the client are not able to obtain a Prøvelsesattest. In that case cancellation shall be made no later than one day after the rejection of the application to get married in Denmark by the relevant Danish Authority. Cancellation shall happen through email. In the email should be enclosed a copy of the rejection letter from the relevant Danish Authority.

Apostille & Legalisation

It is possible to cancel the Apostille and Legalisation purchase up to 14 days prior to the wedding date. 

Cancellation of the Apostille and/or Legalisation service at a later date than two weeks (14 days) is only possible if the relevant Danish Authority has rejected the application, and the client are not able to obtain a Prøvelsesattest. In that case cancellation shall be made no later than one day after the rejection of the application to get married in Denmark by the relevant Danish Authority. Cancellation shall happen through email. In the email should be enclosed a copy of the rejection letter from the relevant Danish Authority.

Cancellation

Cancellation shall always happen through email. The email shall be sent to order@marriagedenmark.com and the advisor you are currently corresponding with.  In the subject field must be stated “Cancellation”, followed by the Order Number. 

Responsibility

It is the responsibility of Marriage Denmark to deliver a personalised list of documents to collect for each client. The list is based on the standard documentation that the relevant Danish Authority requires for the application. 

Any additional documents, information, interviews, lack of documentation etc. the relevant Danish Authority requires, or any decisions made by any Danish Authority cannot be foreseen by Marriage Denmark or people associated with Marriage Denmark, therefore Marriage Denmark cannot be held responsible hereof. Below is a list of situations that exemplifies situations in which Marriage Denmark cannot be held responsible. The list is not exhausted. 

Request for Additional Documentation or Information

In rare cases the Danish Authorities require further information than what is standard, Marriage Denmark or any of our employees cannot foresee this. Marriage Denmark and people associated hereto cannot be held reliable for any additional documentation the relevant Danish Authorities might request. We will however do our best to help you in this situation and try to gain the necessary information or documentation. 

Request for Interview from the Danish Authorities

The minimize the risk of pro forma marriages the Danish Authority have to right to invite the clients to an interview in Denmark prior to approve the application. If you are invited to an interview, and whether you decide to go to Denmark for the interview or not, Marriage Denmark cannot be held reliable for any cost related hereto nor can we be held responsible for the actions taken by the Danish Authorities (and their actions has nothing to do with our service), therefore Marriage Denmark cannot refund the payment made to us. 

The Danish Authority does not approve the clients’ application

Marriage Denmark is solely responsible for the services we perform, and we cannot be held responsible for any failure of the clients to meet the relevant Danish Authority’s requirements. Her under – but not limited to – submitting the application and paying the application fee nor the lack of approval of the application by the relevant Danish Authority. 

If you are not accepted at the municipality

Marriage Denmark cannot be held responsible if you do not bring the original documents to present to the municipality in which you are getting married, and they therefore do not approve you to get married. Nor can Marriage Denmark be held responsible for any other decision the municipality or other relevant authority make that will result in the clients not getting married. 

If client fail to meet their obligations

It is the responsibility of the client to familiarise with and comply with the Danish law, the requirements from the relevant Danish Authorities, sign any documents.

Complaints

Customers that wish to complain about the service offered by Marriage Denmark should initially make their complaint in writing and present it to the advisor handling their booking. If the outcome is not satisfying for the customers, they should send an email to order@marriagedenmark.com. In the subject field should be stated “Complain” followed by the client’s Order Number.

Changes in Marriage Denmark’s Terms of Service

Marriage Denmark holds the right to change the Terms of Service at any given time, without prior consent from anyone and without having to notify anyone. The Terms of Service that are applicable are the Terms of Service that are available at the website marriagedenmark.com at any given time. 

If customers have purchased our service under a prior available Terms of Service, it is the Terms of Service applicable at the time of purchase that are in use. 

Law and Venue

The laws of Denmark govern these Terms of Service. The Danish Courts have exclusive jurisdiction in all disputes arising out of using this website and any services offered by Marriage Denmark.
